Marshall named to Dean’s List at UW-Stout for fall 2021

Dan Marshall of Cape Coral has been named to the University of Wisconsin-Stout Dean’s List for the fall 2021 semester. The award is presented to students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Marshall, a senior, is pursuing bachelors degrees in mechanical engineering and applied science

UW-Stout, Wisconsin’s Polytechnic University, has 47 undergraduate majors and 23 graduate programs, including one doctoral degree. UW-Stout, established in 1891, had an enrollment was 7,692 in the fall.

Foundation for Lee County Public Schools to name five Suncoast Credit Union Scholars in 2022

The Suncoast Credit Union Foundation is partnering with The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools to offer five $2,000 scholarship awards to high school graduates in the Class of 2022.

Class of 2022 high school graduates in Suncoast Credit Union's 21-county service territory have the opportunity to apply for financial support to continue their education, thanks to a $116,000 investment in scholarships by the Tampa-based credit union's Foundation.

Applications are available now through March 31st at https://leeschoolfoundation.org/scholarships

This year's Suncoast Credit Union Scholars program represents a continued philosophy of the foundation to support education initiatives and the well-being and potential of children.

Since its inception in 1990, the foundation has contributed more than $33 million including more than $2.4 million in scholarships.

Samantha Scott named 2022 Alumna of Distinction at FGCU

The Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni Association has named Samantha Scott, APR, president of Pushing the Envelope, Inc., as its 2022 Alumna of Distinction, the university’s most prestigious award.

Each year, the alumni association's Board of Directors recognizes one distinguished graduate who has upheld the tradition of excellence through personal accomplishment, professional achievement or humanitarian service.

The FGCU Alumni Association will celebrate Scott among other award recipients and nominees at an awards dinner on Friday, Feb. 11.

"I am honored to receive this esteemed award," said Scott. "I consider FGCU to be a university that strives to impact more than just its students, but our community and beyond. As a proud alum, I am privileged to live out this principle."

Scott is also an honorary member of FGCU's Soaring Eagles Society, another alumni recognition.
