Cape Coral City Council on Wednesday is expected to vote on a contract award for substantial damage/substantial improvement inspections.
Council will vote on a resolution that would award Substantial Damage Inspection Services to C.A.P. Government Inc. and Joe Payne, Inc for approximately 1,200 properties for an estimated annual amount of $210,000.
The contract is for field inspections in Cape Coral's Special Flood Hazard Area within a project period of 30 to 45 days. Each property will be visited and a document finding, and estimates will be provided for estimates that can be used to make determinations using FEMA methodology.
A resolution to approve a grant agreement between the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management and the city also is expected to be voted on for a maximum reimbursement of $9 million for the expansion of the city's Emergency Operations Center.
The agenda also includes numerous introductions.
• Victory Park Community Development District modifying external boundaries from 137.39 acres to 259.36 acres
• Entering into a second amended master lease agreement for all charter schools and facilities with the Cape Coral Charter School Authority
• Amending an ordinance for towing and immobilization of vehicles or vessels parking on private property.
The 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, City Council meeting will be held in City Council chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.
