FDOT: Both southbound lanes across Caloosahatchee River Bridge to be closed overnight tonight

For the safety of motorists and construction crews, the Florida Department of Transportation has announced that both southbound lanes of the Caloosahatchee River Bridge (U.S. 41) in Fort Myers will be completely closed tonight, Jan. 13, beginning at 9 p.m. and will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 14, by 5 a.m. This closure is necessary for crews to work on a few remaining tasks of the walkway installation along the bridge.
