FPRA Southwest Florida Chapter member Fender earns professional public relations accreditation

Noelani Fender, APR, of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, recently earned her professional public relations accreditation, and received the designation of Accredited in Public Relations.

Fender joins the more than 4,500 active public relations professionals worldwide who represent an elite group of skilled professionals committed to practicing with high ethical standards, including 38 currently in Southwest Florida.

As Media Relations Manager at Priority Marketing, Fender plays a key role in crafting strategic communication plans that elevate her clients' narratives across multiple channels, amplifying their messages and fostering meaningful engagement. In her position, Noelani develops storylines that bridge journalism and strategic public relations. Her responsibilities involve managing several successful PR programs, developing customized PR strategies and implementing initiatives for a diverse portfolio of clients, including established nonprofits, small businesses and local franchises of national brands.

To earn public relations accreditation, candidates must pass an oral presentation and rigorous written examination administered by the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB), which is an alliance of eight national and statewide professional associations dedicated to furthering the field of public relations and the development of public relations professionals. FPRA is a member of the UAB.
