1 min read

The Cape Coral Animal Shelter will hold its first-ever Community Yard Sale, a “fun-filled event where the community can shop, sell, and support homeless animals -- all in one morning!”

The special fundraiser will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Wicked Dolphin Distillery, 131 S.W. 3rd Place in the Cape.

“More than just your average yard sale, this event offers an opportunity to declutter, discover hidden treasures, and help save the lives of animals in need<" CCAS officials said. "A minimum of 25% of every seller's proceeds will be donated directly to the Cape Coral Animal Shelter, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming animals throughout the community." "We wanted to create a fun, easy way for people to come together, clean out their homes, and make a real difference for animals," said Liz McCauley, executive director, in. prepared statement. "Every dollar raised goes toward medical care, shelter, and love for the pets who need us most." Community members are invited to sign up to sell their gently loved treasures. Spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is encouraged. Sellers must bring their own setup (tables, tents, blankets, etc.) and commit to donating at least 25% of their proceeds -- though 100% donations are welcome for those who wish to give more. To register as a seller, email ccasyardsale@gmail.com with your name, phone number, email address, the top five types of items you plan to sell, an estimate of how many items you'll bring, any unique highlights, and what type of setup you'll use.
