Birds-eye view of Lee County 

Today I am in my figurative helicopter looking at Lee County. 

I see that Lee County deserves decisions for quality of life that is not always a benefit but a burden for our leaders.  

Growth masks reality where the citizens of Lee County often foot the bill for gaps in the infrastructure.

I see developers build new homes and apartments without planning for schools, roads, utilities.  Portable classrooms are popping up by our schools and sometimes used by 35 students  instead of 25, the recommended number of students for the mobile classroom.

Our roads are so congested. I only commute when I need to. The main roads can see 80,000 cars per day.  

Our insurance for auto and home is high and likely to increase.

In a nutshell: Affordable housing, planned developments with a focus on the future with great schools and teachers are welcomed.

We find ourselves in a truly idyllic paradise.  We must preserve our piece of paradise.

By becoming involved with your community, we can assure that Lee County will be a leader in Florida. 

I see a bright future for Lee County from my helicopter and looking forward to tomorrow.
