The Friends of the Cape Coral Library will hold its Fall Book Sale fundraiser for the public Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
There will also be a Members Only Preview Sale Thursday, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Non-members may join the Friends of the Cape Coral Library non-profit organization at the door by paying the annual dues of only $20 per family.
The Cape Coral Library is at 921 SW 39th Terrace.
The book sale fundraisers are held twice per year and are immensely popular. The huge meeting room of the Cape Coral Library will be filled with thousands of quality used books arranged according to category by the Friends crew of member volunteers. There will be fiction for adults and sections for children and teens. Find non-fiction sorted by subject. Find music CDs, plus movies on DVD.
Most items are $1 or $2, with small paperbacks at less than a buck. The Friends will also highlight a large selection of "Special" books (such as those by Florida authors, autographed books, collectibles and more) that are priced somewhat higher, but are still a bargain. Also be sure to stop by our Book Crafts table featuring some unique items for sale that our talented crafters have created by up-cycling obsolete books and pages into bracelets, small holiday trees, ornaments, shadow boxes and more.
Proceeds from the event are used to support the Cape Coral Public Library branch.
Guests are asked to bring cash or personal checks only. Credit cards cannot be accepted.
Donations of gently used resale quality books, CDs and DVDs for the Friends book sales are accepted year-round. Call the Friends' phone message service at 239-349-2572, leave a clear message with your phone number, and someone will return your call.
