One of the benefits of belonging to the Garden Club of Cape Coral is that one gets an education. At the club meeting Tuesday, Nov. 11, club member and Master Gardener Cathy Dunn delivered a presentation on the "Techniques of Propagating" — something that every gardener should master.

Dunn, who is also an hibiscus hybridizer and president of the James E. Hendry Chapter of the American Hibiscus Society, covered the topic from A-Z — cuttings, divisions, seeds and offsets.
The presentation was timely because the club will soon be asking its members to begin growing plants taken from cuttings in their own gardens for its annual March in the Park event, which will take place at Rotary Park Saturday, March 14. The club hopes that the presentation will spur even more members to grow plants for the event and perhaps provide lots of new plant types that currently are not on the club's Master List of Plants.
If you would like to receive a copy of this presentation, please email President@gardenclubofcapecoral.com and the club will be happy to share it with you. One of the club's main purposes is education.
