Cape Coral City Council, sitting as South Cape Redevelopment Agency commissioners, will decide Wednesday whether to provide one additional code enforcement officer to patrol the South Cape.
Resolution 3-25 is an interlocal agreement between the City of Cape Coral and the Cape Coral Community Redevelopment Agency. If approved, the agreement will provide additional dedicated and enhanced code enforcement services to cover the CRA area.
An amendment to the fiscal year 2025 budget calls for an increase of $645,282, which would bring the total budget to $7,290,687. According to agenda documents, $458,416 was available from the fiscal year 2024 budget and appropriated to Country Club medians. The remaining funds are within the special revenue fund and special revenue fund.
Another resolution expected to be voted on is one for Bateman Contracting LLP for the construction of Palm Tree median curbing for $329,558.50, as well as a city-controlled contingency amount not to exceed 5% of the contract amount.
An annual contract also to be considered Wednesday is for $150,000 for the continued use of the GOVMVMT Government Purchasing Cooperative for contingent staffing in accordance with the University of North Florida. The contract is with People Link, LLC for contingent staffing services.
The meeting will also include an update of CRA projects.
The South Cape Community Redevelopment Agency meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, in City Council Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.
