Lee County Tax Collector remain closed today in the wake of Hurricane Helene. "We have been monitoring the impacts of Hurricane Helene in our area throughout the night," officials said in a release issued Friday morning. "In an abundance of caution and for the safely of our team and customers, we are closing our locations today, September 27, 2024. We will resume normal operating hours on Monday, September 30th."
On-island travel on the Sanibel Causeway is now open to emergency personnel only.
