To the editor:
I feel compelled to express my deep concern about the current state of our nation. It has been several weeks since the Inauguration of the president and already we witness chaos, pain and suffering that affects millions of Americans.
We found ourselves in a troubling situation led by undermining our democratic values. The influence of money in politics has never been more evident, with individuals who do not have our country's best interests at heart just gaining power.
As American we take great pride in our nation, but that pride is challenged.
The economy is faltering and a recession looms on the horizon. Essential services that support education, health care and our most vulnerable population, our children are all at risk.
This is a call to action for all of us! It is imperative we utilize all platforms available to us -- TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, local blogs and more to voice our concerns and burdens. We must be bold, forceful and voice our dissent. Writing letters to the editor is a powerful way to express our thoughts and concerns.
I urge everyone to take a moment to share what matters to you! What are your worries about the future? How will these changes impact your family and community?
Now is the time to keep the dialogue flowing and stand up for what we believe in. Let's fight and keep America strong or risk losing the values we hold dear!
