Three students from Cape Coral among college-sponsored National Merit Scholarship winners

Today, National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced over 2,900 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities. Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the finalists in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution. Florida SouthWestern State College is hosting a Financial Aid Workshop Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Lee Campus in Room S202. Red Sox present scholarships to 16 local students

For the ninth consecutive year, local high school students were bestowed scholarships by a Major League Baseball team that calls Lee County home each spring. Thursday evening before first pitch, 16 students looking to further their educational journey were honored and presented with $5,000 scholarships by the Boston Red Sox and Red Sox Foundation.
