Florida SouthWestern State College's Give Kids A Smile Day event, held on March 24 and 25, provided approximately $26,000 in free dental services to 85 children in the Southwest Florida community.
The services provided by FSW dental hygiene students included free dental cleanings, radiographs, fluoride treatments and sealants. Students also provided health promotion and disease prevention activities to the children and parents who attended the event.
Dental examinations were provided by FSW's dentists and three Lee County Dental Society dentists.
FSW Dental Hygiene Clinic also provides low-cost dental services Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Building A on the FSW Lee Campus, 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers.
