DOH-Lee Offices close in observance of upcoming holidays

All Florida Department of Health offices in Lee County (DOH-Lee) will be closed on the following dates: • Monday, Dec. 23 • Tuesday, Dec. 24 • Wednesday, Dec. 25 • Tuesday, Dec. 31 • Wednesday, Jan. 1 DOH-Lee offices will be open during regular operation hours on the following dates: • Thursday, Dec. 26 • Friday, Dec. 27 • Monday, Dec. 30 Regular office hours will resume on Thursday, Jan. 2. DOH-Lee reminds residents and visitors to celebrate safely over the holiday. For medical emergencies that need immediate assistance, call 911.

In response to Hurricane Milton, Lee Health is preparing staffing to transition from Team A to Team B. Free autism screening for young children Sept. 20 Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida, offers a free monthly autism spectrum disorder screening for toddlers 18 months to 5 years of age. The Florida Department of Health in Lee County invites the public to attend its HIV Testing Day event Thursday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at th DOH-Lee office at 83 Pondella Road, North Fort Myers. DOH-Lee staff will provide educational materials and promotional items and conduct free HIV testing. Knowing your status is the first step toward effective HIV prevention and treatment.
