Cape Coral charity run raises $17,000 for colorectal cancer patients

An annual charity run in Cape Coral has generated $17,000 toward colorectal cancer education, screening and treatment in Southwest Florida. Colorectal cancer, which is preventable, treatable and beatable, is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the country. Free autism screening for young children April 21

Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida, offers a free monthly autism spectrum disorder screening for toddlers 18 months to five years of age. The next screening will be held on April 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Pediatric Specialist Office, 15901 Bass Road, Suite 102, Fort Myers.
