SalusCare offers text messaging for non-emergency appointment services

SalusCare is offering new and existing patients a texting service to request non-emergency appointments and medication refills. The HIPAA-compliant service will help expedite scheduling and medication refills. Patients can text the main customer care number, 239-275-3222. Texting “appointments” or “appt” will result in a near immediate acknowledgement with a request for additional information, such as date of birth and appointment availability. Lee Health’s “It’s All About You,” Chronic Disease Self-Management Program” a Self-Management Resource Program with the SMRC is offering a research based Chronic Disease Self-Management program for the community. Alzheimer Association's Caregiver Support Group will meet virtually the third Saturday of every month from 3:30-4:30 p.m., starting April 15 until Aug. 17, 2024.
